The Initial Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites began covering on PS5 topics unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that Microsoft continues to plan to attract subscribers with quality releases on its key platform.
The Current Inclusions
A pair of titles that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of frights and fights."
Intriguing Niche Additions
Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Robust Selection of Games
All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service alone. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — which makes them ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
